Entertainment things...
Aug. 5th, 2003 10:41 amHere is a lot on the Extended Version of TTT and the Return of the King trailer and... Just lots of stuff. There are spoilers but they also seem to be well blacked out if you don't want to see them. The trailer I've seen is just the end of a 12 minute trailer released on the TTT DVD.
Kids' WB! is calling the weekday episodes this week the "Best of X." The episodes lead into Saturday's new episode, "Dark Horizon, Pt. 1."
In next season of Smallville you should expect to see Perry White played by someone familiar (not yet cast). You probably won't see Bruce Wayne due to conflicts in the rights with the movie.
Dan Simmons spoke at the University Bookstore in Seattle a few nights ago. While there according to Lorrimer he said "that the screen rights for the Hyperion saga have been sold to a major studio -- and that a major star and major director are in talks for a trilogy of movies based on the Hyperion saga. ... And then he said, and I'm attempting to quote him from memory, it was a movie "about some gangs in some city somewhere."" Wow. That would be quite something. Scorsese and DiCaprio doing Hyperion. Of course this is Hollywood. These things come and go all the time.
The Passion will be released in March or April.
Amazon.com is now taking pre-orders for the X2 DVD hitting stores on November 25. Interestingly, The Hulk will be out in October. Someone wants me to go broke in November. So much good stuff.
Variety says Constantine will begin filming in September.
According to CHUD the next Wallace and Grommit movie will be called Wallace and Gromit and the Curse of the Were-Rabbit. It'll start production in September.
