I don't know if anyone on my friends list will understand why I think this article is so great. I've been to Tigers Stadium. I had a home run hit at my head there by Roberto Alomar. (Literally, if I hadn't moved it would have hit me in the head. My dad caught it barehanded. I have that baseball somewhere...) It was a great baseball park. It is very, very sad how bad the Tigers are after how great they have been before.

It amazes me how many teams spend big $ to build new stadiums, or change team uniforms, just in an effort to change the destiny of the team.

I know its about money, but there seems to be no feeling for the history of the game in a sport which thrives on history.

That article makes me really sad.. I don't even really like baseball, but i have a bunch of fond memories of going to see the Tigers there back in the day and cheering on Kirk Gibson, and getting hot dogs...and.. well.. you know what i mean.
