Hmmmm...

I've taken a look at my finanaces and I *can* afford an apartment for up to 700 a month. It will mean I won't have much else in the way of money, but I will be getting another raise about the time I'd be moving in. That will help alot. It'll give me another 100 dollars a month or so, before taxes, to play with, which is nice. (Closer to 60 or something after. *shrug* I can reduce some of my bills as well. I'll have cable modem, phone (I don't really need long distance and phone cards are cheap enough), my student loans, my credit card payment, food, utilities and of course, the soon to be apartment.

It will be tight. I'm hoping to find a place for less than 700, but I'm esitmating for that in case things don't work out that way.

Studios are looking more and more appealing.

I think I do need to live by myself, though. It's kind of a scary idea, honestly, but I think its time that I do that sort of thing. I just hope I live close enough to people that they'll come and see me.

*snorts* This'll be interesting - I'll have all of my movies, but nothing to play or watch them on. No VCR and no TV.

I'll have a phone, some pots and pans, some silverware and plates and things, my desk, my computer, my dresser...

I think when I go back to my parent's place I'll be trying to kidnap some furniture or something. I'm not even sure if the bed that I'm using, I can keep since it isn't really mine. Hmmmmmm. Maybe I can get my parents to send me a futon.

Anyway... That's enough babbling. Need to get some mroe work done.

You could get a TV tuner card for your computer and a VCR on the cheap from a pawn shop. Easiest way to get that going on....

Very true. Very true indeed. I might be able to steal some stuff from my parents as well.

The VCR is the real crunch point.. a TV tuner card is on like $40... or you can get a USB video capture device like I have for about that much too.

Studio is probably a good idea, best prices I saw were in the U district and lake forest park (540 and 515 respectivly). Good luck 8)

*nods* I would love to find something for closer to 500 dollars. That would be awesome.

Hey, we should make a trip to Ikea at some point in time.. they have cheap cool furniture. :)

Oh, and my friend Christelle (i_feel_sick) has a place open where she just got a studio. That was $595.

Heh.. we both need luck!

Heh...

Yeah. I have a feeling ym credit card is going to get a work out and then put into a deep dark hole to never be used again after I get some furniture.

If'n you don't mind cast offs, I can hook you up with some stuff. Huge extended families are occassionally good for such things.

I don't mind in the least. That would be outstanding, Joe.

I might also have use for your new beast of a vehicle.

*grin*

As for phonecard stuff, I recommend www.bigzoo.com

$0.039 a minute if you call their toll free number, $0.029/minute if you have a local access number. Czech it.
