Interesting weekend...
Jun. 23rd, 2003 07:04 amA very interesting weekend...
I like these three days weekends. The extra day really does make up for the getting up earlier in the morning.
Friday was a good night. The day was not so pleasant, being all painfilled. That night, however, I saw The Hulk. Good film. It wasn't at all what I imagined it would be and it was a fascinating study. I enjoyed what Ang Lee did with the comic book panneling on the screen. There was one place where it seemed silly, but it wasn't Keanu level. It seemed like Ang Lee got a little lost in the trying to make it a comic book and resorted to his roots for pacing. It was a little jarring at times but still very enjoyable. Go see it.
Saturday I went to Cody's brithday party. From the begining I didn't really feel... a part of things. It was obvious, to me, before too much time that this was a strange thing for me. I haven't done the wandering off to another room to be by myself thing in a very long time. I was wondering where my introverted tendancies had gone... They reasserted themselves with a vengance. I told Cody that I was feeling very single and that isn't quite right. I was feeling very... seperate. If that makes sense.
Sunday was D&D as always. I love that game. Going to Veramar. Interesting. Very interesting indeed. We'll see what happens there. It certainly isn't every game where you seriously consider eating your party members because there isn't any other food. I'm glad that's over.

I was feeling very... seperate.
That makes PERFECT sense to me. That's how I always feel at parties. Maybe I can make a connection with one or two people, but even that is ... rare.
