Movie stuff.... Comics stuff...
Jun. 17th, 2003 08:25 amAliens VS Predator but probably not in the way anyone would want. So many choices and we go with this? And the rumor is he wants to make it PG-13. .... Cody, there are more Hollywood people that need smacking. (Need. Bat. Of. Justice.)
Lots of reviews are coming in for Alex and Emma. They all seem to like it but apparently there is a twist in it that left a bad taste in people's mouths. Why put in a quirky plot twist if you don't need one?
Another new round of chosing director for a Hitchhiker's movie. If anything really turns up, I'll let you all know. I'm waiting.
A Harry Potter review for you. No spoilers.
Variety reports: "The play's the thing -- especially when it becomes a movie musical, like "Chicago." And DreamWorks' Steven Spielberg and Walter Parkes have left no doubt about their desire to find the legit tuner to transfer to the big screen -- and they may have found it. Parkes is en route to Chicago to meet with Stephen Sondheim today to talk conversion of "Sweeney Todd" to the big screen."
Variety reports: "Revolution Studios will open a superhero school, optioning the graphic novel "Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted" from Jason Lethcoe for Team Todd and Underground Films to produce."
The Cat in the Hat trailer is out there. You can find it if you want. I'm afraid.
Variety again: "Producer Mimi Polk Gitlin has inked a deal with Joshua Stern to script "Paper Dragon," a family action-adventure about a boy and his ancient Chinese warrior pal."
Guy Pearce is apparently still up for the Batman role.
From Bruce Campbell.com: "I play the 'Snooty Usher,' another pivotal role where I deny Tobey Maguire access to see Kirsten Dunst in her first big play. Sorry, no Lizard for me...I'm not a reptile guy." -BC
I'm going to have to get two copies of the final issue in the Hush story arc. One will be villans and one will be heroes.
JLA-Z - A handbook to DC's greatest super-team featuring artwork by some of the biggest names in comics, timed to coincide with the debut of JLA/Avengers. Featuring the first of a triptych of covers by Phil Jimenez, this issue includes villains and heroes from Amazo to Green Arrow, and features artwork by Jim Lee, Scott McDaniel and indie comics superstars including Jeff Parker.
