Heh. Madagascar's idea is a great one. The pre-production stuff they're making for it looks pretty awesome too. The things for Sharkslayer look great too. Sharkslayer is esentially Jack the Giant Killer. Sounds like fun.

Toby Maguire will be in the next movie by the director of Secretary. It's called Urban Townies.
And Nicole Kidman seems to be picking excellent, excellent projects.
King Arthur continues to have mostly unknown in the US actors cast. Well, Disney seems to be getting that much right. Better to have European actors to start with on that one.
Miramax is re-releasing Confessions of a Dangerous Minds in theaters this August before the DVD hits, and now plans to toss the Oscar winning Chicago back onto screens before its August 19th DVD bow. Both the theatrical re-release and the home version will be an extended version featuring the excised number "Class", duet between Catherine Zeta-Jones and Queen Latifah. No official date for the theatrical re-release has been announced, but it will be some time in July.
In cancellation news, Universal has pulled Eddie Izzard: Glorious and the two Law & Order compilation discs. No reason was given for the cancellation.

"Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan is to visit India later this month to begin work on his latest venture, a 60 million dollar still-untitled action movie, a top Hollywood producer said." From here.

Hollywood Reporter posted the following: The Walt Disney Co. has hired "The Fighting Temptations" scribe Elizabeth Hunter to pen "Lafiya," an animated feature set in Africa. The exact story line for the project is being kept under wraps, with the only known details being that it is set in Africa and centers on a young female lead character.
