Wow. Just... Wow. Go look at the pre-production images for the Evangelion movie. If it ends up looking anything like that, I'll be so happy to see it.

Oh no... The things I'm hearing about the new Batman show are not the best. The title thus far? Batman Wired. No. I'm not joking. He's got a suit of battle armor and... Ugh. If they're doing the stuff where he's in the Batman Beyond suit before he gets too old, that /might/ save it, but... I see an Azreal type thing here. And that went /so/ well.

Still looking for a Superman director. Wheeeee.

Firefly fans? Go read this.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha.... Mr.Smith and Aragorn.

From the Hollywood Reporter: Twenty years after NBC's hit sci-fi miniseries "V" invaded the small screen, the network is bringing the aliens back with "V: The Second Generation," a three-hour telefilm from the original creator Kenneth Johnson. (Oh goodie. And I'm going to have to watch it. 'Cause I'm a sucker.)

Not reading Episode III news. Not... reading...

More from the Hollywood Reporter: Geoff Stier has joined Valhalla Motion Pictures as a production chief and producer. Stier, who will report directly to company chairman Gale Anne Hurd, will oversee the development and production of the L.A.-based company's slate of film and television projects, including "The Punisher," starring Thomas Jane and John Travolta, and "Aeon Flux," a live-action superheroine project in preproduction at Paramount Pictures.

Hellboy has announced it will be opening Memorial Day 2004.

Go look at the Teen Titans website and tell me how you feel about it. I just watched the 'trailer' and... Ummmm... Wow. So much cheese. Anime cheese... I think I'm going to die.

Trouble, the first new release from Marvel's Epic line may or may not be Peter Parker's parents story... Depending on if fans accept the story. Ummmm. Yeah.

NGE live action...

*drools over pictures*

It could be sooooooooooooo good if done right, and SUCH CRAP if done wrong.

It's a fine line to walk, too.

an Eva movie... yeah, that will rock, but I hope they redesign the angels... as much as I love the series I can't understand why the made the angels so retarded looking, like they used all the budget on the other character designs and so all the could come up with was the lame geometric shapes with flat eyes painted on them... hehehe

teen titans trailer isn't working for me, but that song... wtf? very powerpuff girls...

Yeah. The angels were lame, but the Eva's ruled. I don't know. I was always wondering if there was a reason they were they way they were, you know?

The song is worse than Powerpuff Girls. It's... like 60's anime song. Voltron or Power Rangers crossed with Ranma. Augh.

I'm sure there's a reason, probably in the same vein as "we meant for the last two episodes to be like that" and that no one actually gets it... ha!

*snorts* I hope not. There was so much else planned out in that series that I wondered if the forms and names of the angels had significance in some way.

Weird. It worked for me. It played using Real Player on my computer.

Maybe I'll have to download the most recent version. Hmmmmmmm, it's the original NEW TT team (sans Kid Flash, lame). Maybe that means they'll have Trigon as a villian.

Heh. I don't know. They're first villain is Clayface. That's about all I know.

couldn't robin take out clayface by himself? ;)

Well.... Sometimes? I don't know. Apparently not. (Maybe Dick Grayson could and Tim Drake can't? Don't know.)

Ok I just upgraded my version of real to watch it and I'm EXTREMELY worried about this. Starfire shreking and saying, "We did it!"?!?!?! Raven firing out balls of some sort of energy?!?!?! It might be enjoyable, but I don't think it will be a cartoon based on the Wolfman/Perez series and that will have to be overcome.

Raven, having seen the bits where she does throw out something, was catully picking up things and throwing them. They turned all black and glowy when she did so. It was really kind of sooky.

In the clips I've seen, she was the part I /liked/.

Everything else... Too... I can't even think of the right words.

It reminds me of the end of the episode of Clerks the Animated Series where the Korean animators have to write the ending.

The era of TT that they're doing is one that was defined by the characters. There were actual personality differences and questionable behaviors that were done in an end justifies the means way (such as Raven making Kid Flash fall in love with her). It was the comic that popularized the A Day in the Life [1] style. It told the tale of teenagers growing up and becoming adults between the fights. It looks like all of that won't be in this series. Instead we're getting... ummmm.... TEEN TITANS!!!

Oh Wonder Girl is missing too. Damn, so much for Who Is Donna Troy and the whole wedding ep (not that they would make a cartoon out of that one).

[1] New Teen Titans #8, noticed the other day when I was packing. I almost stopped packing to read it.

Well, it isn't going to be the sort of thing where you'd expect that sort of character development. There are very few cartoons out there where I could expect that sort of thing. And it would be something that was shown later in the day than the afternoon.

Well, Donna is going to bite it here soon in the comics. *sigh* Lame. As if any of them needed more trauma.

I thought Batman Beyond had a decent amount of characterization in the space allotted. I don't expect A Day in the Life or anything like that, but I would like to see things like Robin having issues with Starfire's shoot first and figure things out second attitude. Oh well.

And hey, watch out for spoilers there ;) It's just as well with her if that's true though cause post crisis they really wrecked her character.

Re:

From: [identity profile] lithera.livejournal.com
Well, anyone not Jason Todd, trained by Batman would have issues with shoot first ask questions later.

Sorry about that. It's hard for me to call it a spoiler when I've seen message boards dedicated to it and they've foreshadowed it /so/ heavily.

Date: 2003-06-09 09:30 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] thezzyzx.livejournal.com
Yes but I don't think that Starfire will be a hardened warrior from a race that has been fighting wars for years based on her "eek!" ing.

Don't worry about the spoiler; mistakes happen. I tend not to read message boards and stuff for that reason; all I allow myself to read is the issue descriptions on Direct Currents.

Yeah, well, if you're gonna have to have a spooky chick, you have to have one girly-girl. *shrugs*

It's in the rules somewhere, I think. Not that I like those rules.

Well that's what Wonder Girl could have been.

Hey it could be worse; this could be based on the 1960's mod version of the Titans, complete with bad slang ;)

ah the spoogyness of this entry. ;)

*giggle* There is much happiness and much worriedness in kat's world now. *pout*

The mr smith vs aragorn, was awesome, i hope they put it on the dvd! That will be funny as hell.

V!!! nononononono, i was able to put this into denial world, but ack. I loved v so much. How could they possibly replace Marc Singer i mean really? I loved this..So i'm a bit worried. Wether it sucks or not, i'm just as much of a sucker and will watch. :)

Yay! Firefly movie! Yay! happy happy joy joy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed about this one.

As for Batman, dude it's the WB of course they are going to torture it. *grin* Another thing i'll prolly watch wether or not it's any good.

The thing is, they did so well with all of the other Batman cartoons. So, so well. I'm just hoping that this is good enough to just be a let down and not so horrible that it will cast a pall on the things before.

As for V, I'm pretty sure that show is why aliens freak me out. Pretty sure. Which means I have to watch it.

That show is also why my wife isn't at all frightened by Freddy Krueger... she sees him and thinks of a bumbling vegetarian alien.

The idea of Live action Aeon Flux makes me cringe. The cartoon was bad enough. But...heck, I'll see the rest when it happens.

As for Mr. Smith and Aragorn...http://www.gamespy.com/comics/dorktower/archive.asp?nextform=viewcomic&id=527

I figure you'd like that.

I actually liked Aeon Flux. It was surreal and made me think.

*snickers* That's amusing. But it all started with Priscilla.
