The teaser for the Incredibles is up on the Pixar site - in Quicktime, obviously.

There are some pictures from the set of Van Helsing up here. Looks interesting.

Looks like another Benji movie is in the works.

On June 3rd, from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm, CBS had a special: \"A.F.I.\'s 100 Years, 100 Greatest Heroes & Villains\". These are the top 10 heroes & villains from the special.

Heroes:
1.) Atticus Finch from “To Kill A Mockingbird”
2.) Indiana Jones from “Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom”
3.) James Bond from “Dr. No” to “Die Another Day”
4.) Rick Blaine from “Casablanca”
5.) Will Kane from “High Noon”
6.) Clarice Starling from “Silence of the Lambs”
7.) Rocky Balboa from “Rocky”
8.) Ellen Ripley from “Aliens”
9.) George Bailey from “It’s a Wonderful Life”
10.) T.E. Lawrence from “Lawrence Of Arabia”

Villains:
1.) Hannibal Lecter from “Silence of the Lambs”
2.) Norman Bates from “Psycho”
3.) Darth Vader from “Star Wars”
4.) The Wicked Witch of the West from “The Wizard of Oz”
5.) Nurse Ratched from “One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest”
6.) Mr. Potter from “It’s a Wonderful Life”
7.) Alex Forrest from “Fatal Attraction”
8.) Phyllis Dietrichson from “Double Indemnity”
9.) Regan MacNeil from “The Exorcist”
10.) The Queen from “Snow White & The 7 Dwarfs”
(WHAT? The Queen and not Maleficent? What???)

The rumors about Superman are still all over the place. Directors, stars... It's all up in the air.

There are rumors swirling about a movie version of The Family Guy. Apparently if the DVDs do well enough, they might do it.

Wow. This is really, really interesting. It would be a dream if Pixar ended up hooking up with Dreamworks. That would be the culmination of a slow spiral of stupid decisions made by Disney.

Danny Elfman is scoring The Hulk. The soundtrack also includes a new exclusive track, "Set Me Free," which was inspired by the film and recorded by an all-new super group featuring Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots; vocals), Slash (Guns N' Roses; guitar), Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses; bass), Matt Sorum (Guns N' Roses; drums) and Dave Kushner (Suicidal Tendencies; guitar). (Wow. That's a line up. Geeze.)

Marvel Comics will release Ultimate Six in September. The six-issue mini-series is written by Brian Michael Bendis, with art by Trevor Hairsine and Danny Miki, and covers by John Cassaday. Apparently it will be who ever is in that group (the line up is still changing - Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Wasp, Thor and Giant-Man atm.) versus the Sinister Six. Interesting.

I don't see Pixar/Dreamworks as a "Dream Team" -- Dreamworks already has their own Computer Animation team.

Pixar is free of their obligations to Disney right now, and can take their time shopping around for a better deal (while continuing to work with Disney)

The do have their own computer animation team, but it isn't Pixar. How could it hurt to add them?

And while they are free from Disney, they still have at least one, if not two, projects with them that are not yet completed. The Incredibles is the next one coming out in November of 2004.

1) TWO CGI Animation teams in the same company? Sounds like a recipe for trouble. AND if things get tight, a good target for layoffs.

2) Pixar has fulfilled their contract with Disney. Anything else they do is to pay the bills while they find another partner. And it'll advertise Pixar (which certainly won't hurt). And it maintains good relations with Disney in case the rest of the world is too dumb to jump at the chance to partner with Pixar.

They're still signed to finish The Incredibles with Disney and I remember there being something else.

Besides, Disney is working out a new deal with another CG company as we speak. They're based out of Toronto. I put it in my journal a week or two back.

The name of the group is supposed to be Reloaded and they also have something on the Italian Job soundtrack. No clue what it sounds like. There (of course) has been a hitch in the get along - Scott Weiland - his butt is in trouble with the drugness again.
Okay I'm going to go study now, rather than reflecting on the drug problems of musicians. :)

Do they? It might be the cover of Money that was in the soundtrack. I'll have to see when it comes out. It wasn't out when I wanted to buy it.

Wow, you called it. according to the article (previously linked)

Weiland and the ex-Gunners have an original song, "Set Me Free," on the soon-to-be-released Hulk soundtrack, as well as a cover of Pink Floyd's "Money" on The Italian Job soundtrack. They are also working on album slated for release early next year.

*bows to your song-fu*

*takes a bow*

It was a good enough cover that it caught my attention while playing during the movie.
