Whoa.... I just read what might be the first draft outline of the first episode of Angel. Wow. Just... Wow. If this /isn't/ what happens, I... Just wow. It's a great idea and it explains something I was wondering about. My e-mail is in my profile. You want the address to this one, e-mail me.

There is more talk about Ripper becoming a show. That's a rumor that just won't go away, apparently.

According to Variety, it looks like BLADE 3 will begin shooting this summer. I've heard that essentially in the planning stage it was to take place further in the future of BLADE's timeline and was a bit of a I AM LEGEND type of storyline to it, but the trades say, "Blade must reverse an apocalyptic event that threatens to bring Earth into the Vampire's control."

Saw this on Neil Gaiman's journal, but seeing it other places is good - It looks like Neil Gaiman has the financing for his DEATH: THE HIGH COST OF LIVING film he's been wanting to direct for years.

I admit to being interested in this: John Woo's Paycheck, starring Ben Affleck and Uma Thurman. The sci-fi mystery thriller is based on a short story by Philip K. Dick.

Harrison Ford finally received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Friday in front of the Kodak Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. Director Steven Spielberg was at the event and excited the crowd by briefly mentioning Indiana Jones 4. "We're about to launch production next year on 'Indiana Jones 4'," Spielberg said. After the ceremony, however, Ford was more circumspect about his involvement in the sequel. "I don't know anything about it except that Steven's very enthusiastic," he said. "He's got a period of time to work on the script before I see it. So I should see it in a couple of weeks."

Word is that you should be looking for the Spider-Man teaser in July. Lots of films that could be but the likely ones would be Bad Boys 2 and Pirates of the Carribean.

Hellboy fans, go here. Lots of really awesome pictures. I have no idea if it right or wrong or what, but it looks really cool.

The four-issue JLA/Avengers mini-series by Kurt Busiek and George Perez will launch in September.

Lee and Loeb are taking a break after their 12-issue "Hush" arc is completed, but will return for another six issues following a six-issue arc by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso. (Thank you, thank you...)

Rick Leonardi said that he's leaving Nightwing to become the new artist of Batgirl. "What they were looking for on Batgirl and this might say something for the direction of the series, was somebody who could draw emotions and depth. They were well-stocked with people who could do fight scenes, but they were looking to do character."

X-Treme X-Men writer Chris Claremont said that Rogue and Gambit return in September's X-Treme X-Men #31. "They are basically the core of the next arc, which will take us into the new year," Claremont said.

I can't recall if it was a print, audio or video interview with Tony Head -- but in [at least] one of them, he made some comment to the effect of, "I want to take a break for a bit before starting on the Giles spin-off".
... and much like the Harrison Ford Indy 4 comment, he clammed up after making the comment

Still ... =) ... go Ripper!!

Yeah. There is a new wave of rumors about it. He's apparently mentioned it again that he wants to do it. We'll see.

Yeah, I kinda hope that that's how angel starts to. though I can understand why a lot of people won't like that, feeling that it takes away from the whole girl power thing.

Ack a Death movie? Hrm, not sure i'm keen with that. Who do you think would make a good Death?

It helps that Head and Whedon keep talking about Ripper, hard to kill the rumor when the supposed makers or talking about it. ;P

Well, Neil Gaiman has been trying to make The High Cost of Living into a movie forever. I trust him to direct his own stuff well enough. I have no idea who I see as Death. I've never thought about her that way, really.

I'll keep my thoughts to myself on Angel. No spoilers from me on that one. I'll wait and see what happens.

Well, yes. It doesn't hurt that they keep on talking about it.

Gambit and Rogue coming back might be cool, especially if they get their powers back.

But what about the REST of the missing X-treme members? There was a story there, and Claremont owes us that much. :)

Yeah. I understand what you're saying. I'm not missing those characters too much, personally, but I would like to know what happened there.

I'd be okay with Gambit and Rogue getting powers back or staying without them. It would be interesting for me to see how things went.

Agreed. Where the hell did Lifeguard and her brother go? And Thunderbird? And and and...

Well, Slipstream ran away and Lifeguard and Thunderbird followed. Other than that, we know nothing. (Or was it Lifeguard who ran? Ehn.)
