Movie bits...
May. 15th, 2003 09:14 amAnimated Charlie's Angels bits are here. I haven't watched the one there yet myself. Here are the one sheets (posters) for it. Looks like fun.
Monty Python co-founder Eric Idle will spoof Merchant Ivory's costume dramas with Stratus Film Co.'s feature Remains of the Piano from a script he wrote. The Hollywood Reporter says production begins Aug. 18 in British Columbia and the United Kingdom. In addition to helming, Idle will take on a role in the project alongside a cast that includes Geoffrey Rush, Anjelica Huston, Patrick Stewart, Catherine O'Hara, Orlando Bloom, Alfred Molina, Neve Campbell, Billy Connolly, Tim Curry, Michael York, Julian Sands, Will Kemp and Jim Piddock.
A bit of a peek at Return of the King stuff.
The Pirates of the Caribbean website is up and fully active now. Very pretty. Some games and such. I think I've found a time waster for a bit. Click on "Enter the Caribbean" and have fun.
Kym Barrett, costume designer for The Matrix Reloaded will be doing costumes for Superman. She also worked on Romeo and Juliet, Red Planet and From Hell.
Speaking of Superman - Capital FM (London's top radio station) interviewed Justin Timberlake and he confirmed that he had received a script for the Superman movie but he was not being asked to play Jimmy Olsen but the part of the Man of Steel himself. Yeah! Let's hear it for things that will suck!
The official Punisher site is up and there is more concept art up at the X2 site. Some pretty cool stuff.
I don't know about anyone else, but I want to go see Down with Love. Ewan McGregor makes me giddy. End of story.
X2 figures on being overtaken for the top spot at the box office by The Matrix: Reloaded on Thursday, but the film is being projected for a possible $25 million weekend. Analysts say that the PG-13 film could actually benefit from the R-rated Matrix sequel because teenagers will buy X2 tickets and then sneak into The Matrix: Reloaded.
