La la la. Movies... and tv...
May. 13th, 2003 09:50 amA first image of Hellboy. Any Hellboy fans out there? Looks pretty sweet.
The trailer for Freddy vs Jason is out there. I have to say it made me shiver but I think that's more due to past fear than the trailer. It's Quicktime.
SpyKids 3-D (the last in the seires) has a trailer out too. I think I'll have to see it. Just for the 3-D aspect. Sylvester Stalone is the bad guy and there are cheezy Rocky refernces by other characters. It just looks like fun.
I'm seeing more and more reviews that The Matrix: Reloaded is "good". You know, that seems underwhelming to me. I'm sure I'll enjoy it. It makes me a little glad that the movie I was really, really excited for came and delivered higher than my expectations. Of course, it is also supposedly better on the second viewing. Glad I get two almost in a row.
The one sheet for The Last Samurai looks cool. The trailer will be with the Matrix.
TV Guide talked to Smallville executive producer Al Gough about what we can expect in upcoming shows, starting with tonight... "We will hear the voice of Jor-El," exec producer Al Gough tells TV Guide Online. "And we got an actor who's certainly meaningful to Superman fans. I can't say who... he is from the Superman movies. It was our first [casting] choice, so we're happy about that." Future Smallville seasons will bring more casting stunts. "We would like to expand the show a little to incorporate some of those other characters from the [DC] comics," he says. "[Exec producer] Miles Millar and I have been talking about Bruce Wayne for two years, and that's something we'd certainly like to see happen in Season Three. We would also like to see Perry White, Jimmy Olsen and potentially Lois Lane — but maybe not her until Season Four."
Interestingly enough Kelly Hu is signed for X3 film. Ummmmm. Wow. Ouch. She's gonna really pissed. I can imagine a way to get her out and alive, but she'll be pretty pissed off.
The A Boy and His Bird website has a review of the script for The Crow: Wicked Prayer, which stars David Boreanaz, Edward Furlong, Dennis Hopper and Tara Reid. Apparently it is very, very different than the junk in the past two. Here's hoping.
An announcement on additional casting for The Punisher should be made soon, possibly this week.
Whimper. No, no, no, no. Dear God no, not even for a Year One Batman.
According to Corona Coming Attractions at Cinescape the big screen adaptation of Alan Moore's comic series (The League of Yeah, yeah...) will feature the trailer for Ridley Scott's Alien. The original Alien. For a Halloween rerelease. OMG. I would love to see that on a big screen.
Oi. This could be.... I don't even really want to know what's going on with this. More bad Jack Ryan movies. *sigh*
