Movies and such...
Apr. 8th, 2003 09:05 amA review of Kevin Simth's Jersey Girl with some spoilers.
Firefly will be coming to DVD.
Terry Jones is currently writing a screenplay of the BFG. I think this would be an amazing movie. All of Roald Dahl's stuff has the poetntial to be good movie material.
Info about The Matrix movies, Superman vs Batman and Superman over here. And a little tiny bit about Troy. Some really good stuff and nothing too spoilery. I like that the Matrix movies are going to open at the same time everyone where around the world. It'll be midnight in the US. I wonder if that is EST, PST or in the US?
And wow is James Cameron a busy, busy man. If even half of this stuff gets made... I'd be impressed and happy. I wonder about the Battle Angel Alita movie - animated or live action?
Entertainment Weekly spoke to the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which will end on May 20, about the possible spin-off. The spin-off won't be coming anytime soon, according to the cast members. James Marsters, who plays Spike, would also like to sink his fangs into a spin-off. "Spike is a Cadillac role, man," he said. "You don't have to work very hard, but you get all the credit. It's a sweet deal, so if they want to continue paying me really good money and making me look really cool and not working me very hard, I am there."
The Hollywood Reporter says Robin Williams will star in Lions Gate's feature film Final Cut from first-time writer-director Omar Naim. The film is a science fiction thriller set in a world where people are implanted with a chip that records their lives. Williams will play a Cutter, an individual who has final cut on the recorded history of his clients. In his latest assignment, he has discovered a window into his own dark history and has set off a chain reaction that has put his life in danger. Tak Fujimoto (The Sixth Sense) is in negotiations to come aboard as director of photography.
ER star Goran Visnjic will star in Spartacus, a four-hour USA Network mini-series based on the Howard Fast novel that Stanley Kubrick turned into the 1960 Kirk Douglas drama.
Another sequel that should not be made..... Street Fighter 2.
A contest for trips to Canada on the X2 movie site.
