A few things...
Apr. 1st, 2003 08:32 amThis makes me sad. I enjoyed both of these actors work. In fact I saw Lynn Thigpin in something the other day... She was a judge.

I had a very long and complex dream last night. I wish I could remember more than I do, since it was a great dream. It had at least two layers. There was a story in the LoTR universe that I was writing, fan fic or something. As I wrote it, the characters did it and it was great watching my own movie. Then over that, I was wandering around Seattle stopping kids from becoming evil. Example:
I grabbed one kid (I cannot remember what he was doing, but it was something that triggered this.) and pinned him to a wall. "Lord of the Rings. Who is your favorite character? And don't tell me you don't have one."
"Legolas." The kid stammered.
I smiled to myself and nodded, "I had a feeling..."
Meanwhile in the story I was writing:
Legolas felt a shiver travel up his spine as he looked around, feeling some presence watching, knowing him. Eyes narrowed in awareness, he sped up his pace, knowing that he had to get to the sword. It was important that he get to the sword, no matter that it nor he should even be here.
Back to me and the kid:
"The reason these things can happen for him, is he's is a good guy. Bad guys don't get the right to do those things. The honor, nobility and virtue allows Legolas these things. Do you understand?"
------------------------------------------
I honestly have no idea what I was trying to say.
On the way into work this morning I scared a pug. I was just walking, came up to the corner and this old lady was walking her pug. I scared them both, then got vigorously sniffed by the pug.
On the bus there were these two kids sitting across from me talking about books. They couldn't be older than seventh grade. The younger looking one turns to his friend and says, "If you could have your fantasy book, the greatest book ever, what would it be?" The other turned back and snorted, "Comic books.. I read.." The other kid cuts in, "No, no, like science fiction and stuff." The older one pauses for a few moments and shrugs, "I like the long serious stuff. Funny books get stupid, like that Xanth..." The younger cuts in again, "I read this great book. Have you read Hitchhiker's Guide the the Galaxy? It's funny. Everytime I picked it up I was laughing." The younger one preceded to explain 42 and give out other bits and pieces of it.
At one point they looked over to me and what I was reading and I smiled and then continued to read. It was hard not to smile too much.
