For those of you who have QuickTime - here is the Johnny Cash singing Hurt video.

I'm not sure how I like it. There are points when he gets into it that it is really, really good. The rest of it seems rather bland.

Personally, I love that video.

I wasn't so sure what I thought at first after a couple listens I found that I like it even better than Trent singing it. Listening to Johnny Cash singing is so much more real than Trent. He emotes real pain instead of Trent's overdramatic angst version.

I know I'm commiting heresy here but...*shrugs*.

There are moments in there where it is very, very powerful.

There are other moments where I think he isn't actually emoting anything at all and the words are just falling from him with no investment.

I'll have to watch it again later.

It's not that he's not emoting.

He's disconnected.

I like it much better than the original.
