Feb. 18th, 2003 08:45 amSpider-Man II will only have one villain. How happy am I to hear that? Oh so happy. It's MJ and Peter in college... And wacky hijinks ensue, of course.
A conversation with Michael Rosenbaum about Poolhall Junkies. Looks like a really good movie. I think I have to see a movie about pool sharking with him and Christopher Walken in it.
Avi Arad is starting to get a little high on success, I think. I think he needs to stop talking sequels and spinoffs and concentrate on what's going on. Though as cool as I think it would be to have a series of Wolverine movies, I almost see them more as featurettes. I think that would go really well in the way thee serials were done in years past. There needs to be a place between TV and movies, if you see where I'm thinking.
Blade III" (2004) - This installment of the vampire hunter's never-ending battle is probably the last go-round for star Wesley Snipes. He's been itching to play the title role in a movie version of the Marvel hero "Black Panther."
Tough guy Dick Tracy, the cartoon detective who first hit the newspaper comic pages back in 1931, is setting out on new crime-busting adventures in a cartoon series announced by Los Angeles-based animation house Film Roman.
I'm looking at Batman for May and I am happy. I am so happy. Jim Lee and Nightwing. I cannot wait for the next one, even though I have the general plot arc in my head much further along.
Batgirl looks good too. Mmmmmmm. Both Cassandra and Batgirl: Year One. Especially when she gets to go up against Deathstroke in Nightwing soon. (Note to self - buy Nightwing 80-82) And I must say that I really like this cover.
And... That's it.

Date: 2003-02-18 09:24 am (UTC)Y'know, if I were handed the X-movie franchise tomorrow (ah, how happy and rich I would be!) I would let the current lineup of actors do one more film together, and let Hugh Jackman and anybody else from this lineup who wanted to revisit their parts, do a Weapon X film, and then I would recast the whole thing and do a new trilogy. I think they could keep the franchise alive a looooong time, if they played it that way, and none of the actors would get sick to death of playing the same character over and over and over again.
That's what _I_ would do. :)
