Stupid WaMu. I can't do anything on their site since it is sucking it up big time. Move faster, you slug. MOVE!!! I actually want to do my finances, damn it.

Anyway... I'm not sure if I have a cold or it is just new house allergy things, but I'm all clogged when I wake up in the morning. More than normal, at any rate. I'm going to go have Pho today and help my sinuses.

It was good to get on-line last night. My computer works! Yeah!

I think I'm going to have to do somethign about the attic access in my room. Get the ladder and close it or something. All the heat in my room just escapes up into there and then out through the roof.

Damn Wamu!

WaMu's online banking website has been royally hosed all week. I have yet to get in and access it at all.

As for the attic thing...

Good luck trying to make it not suck all the heat out of your room.

Attic crawlspace door thingies can't be insulated very well.

My suggestion - take some of that clear plastic film for going over windows (it's like giant, thick saran wrap) and put it over the opening. It will prevent airflow (assuming you tape it down (up??) well), and it will help insulate your room.

Word.

Well, right now the passage to the crawl space is open. I couldn't feel the draft when it wasn't. I'm just saying I need to get that closed.

there's a door for it... it just had to be removed due to the Wacky Cable set up in our house.

The insulation on top of the door, from what I can see, is about 6 inches thick...

Oh, I know. I'm just noting it so that when I go home, I'll actually, maybe, do something about it. Go get the ladder out of the other room and do something.

Sorry

Hey, you want to swear about my employer, try being here when the system desides to go ape guano and learn the new deffinition of bad week!

Seriously, though. Wamu's computer systems, from what I understand, are designed to crash before any customer information is leaked. Great in theory. In pratice, it means people's everyday banking is put on hold while the techies look over everything and Gavin and I end up having a massively bad week while they test and retest everything.

It's easy to call someone or something stupid when it's not doing what you want when you want it to, but better that they get the problem fixed than patch it up enough to let the money roll in and have it die later.

Also, don't know if you know this, but you can always call and have the bill taken down on a paper form even if the system is buggered. In fact, the day that the system is buggered is often real slow. It's the day *after* that blows. The paper form gets processed when the systems come back on line, and most of the same timetables apply.
