2) The movie I was refering to that does not need a sequel is Trainspotting. It was perfectly fine on its own, thank you very much.

Trainspotting is one of my all-time very favorite movies. And I'm wondering about this.

It would be entirely possible to have a sequel based on some of the other stuff in the book. There was a lot in there. How they'd make a plot out of it, I'm not sure. But they managed the first time.

But a straight, traditional, this-is-what-happens-next sequel? No.

Where did you hear about this? I'd love to read more.

Based on the novel that is a sequel. I didn't even know it was out there, so thanks for bringing this up... time for a bookstore run I think (and just yesterday I was telling Kris how I was going to stop buying books).

I understand, but I jsut don't think that there needs to be a sequel to everything. Some things should stand on their own.
