I read chapters about Perrin and didn't want to skim them. I read chapters about Faile and didn't want to skim them. Hell, I just read about Elayne and was interested.

Things are happening. It's interesting. I care about what's happening to the characters...

Huh.

Argh! another WOT person!

Perrin and Faile usually bore me too... even egwene is interesting... although Rand is a trifle dull... although the first two third of the book is taken up with the few days cocerning the cleansing of Saidin

Yeah, I noticed that, actually.

Well, it's still 700 pages for about two weeks, but at least things are happening in these two weeks.

Yeah... unfortunately the most interesting chapters are those concerning Dark friends and Alviarin ;)

Is there Mat? Mat fans were robbed in the last book, and we demand satisfaction!

There was plenty of Mat in book nine. That and there is more Mat in this book too. I never have problems reading about Mat.

I think you're misremembering, Kat. There was plenty of Mat in book eight, but his inclusion in book nine consisted solely of someone wondering about him. My housemate and I were very displeased.

Really? Because I'm pretty sure that he kindapped the Daughter of the Nine Moons in book nine.

Anyway, the book starts out with Mat once you get through the 100 pages of prolgue-ish stuff.

As the series draws closer to a close (hopefully), you're going to pay more attention to what's going on because you want to get the most out of the time you've already invbested in the series (or something)

Actually, I tried telling myself that. I'm actually finding this to be a decent read, though I had apparently forgotten (or not cared) about some things that happened in previous books, though I picked them up quickly enough.

Wow.

I kinda liked the last book, but it seemed to set some things up to just DRAG...

I'll have to read the new one for myself.

It's not like the best book ever or anything, but it is worth the read.

Am I weird or am I the only person here who skipped to the Perrin parts??

<--- not a Matt fan.

I think you're odd. Perrin was great until it was all about Faile. I couldn't stand her. It's better now for some reason. I don't know why.
