The King's Peace by Jo Walton.

I love this book. It has pulled me into it and I really, really want to finish reading it, but I cannot here at work. Maybe I will take one of my breaks later and go sit in the courtyard and read.

It is based on an old myth, but it took me a while into the book to recognize which one it was. Even now, I am still not certain of who everyone is. Though, all of the important characters are easily seen.

I recommend this book highly and I know, from where we are in the story, that there will have to be at least one more. We haven't gotten to the part where everything falls apart - though we're close.

Welcome. :)

Also, I forgot to mention, The King's Name is the last third of the story from TKP.

I did a bit of research and found that out. That is one thing I've gotten really good at while working here, that is for certain. I can find information on books. Thank you, though.

Quite often when people turn up on my Friends list I look at their journals and wonder if I know them and why they listed me. This time I think I can work it out! It's your exquisite taste in fiction. :-)

*laughs*

I just finished it (it's slow here today) and I must say that I enjoyed it greatly and am looking forward to picking up the next one. The best perk of my job is getting to pick up free books after the reviewers are done with them. I have found a few authors who I will pick up whenever I see them this way.

I noticed you also had Xenophon listed in your interests. That's a rare thing.

I was going along the shelves and putting down everyone by whom I'd be really pleased to see a new book.

Dear practical old Xenophon. What a pity he isn't popular.

That's always fun to do. I got to a point about a year ago where I had read everything by my favorite authors and needed to expand my cricle again. Now I can't catch up. I have no idea how some people put out books as fast as they do.

Well, he needn't be popular at all. I just wish more people knew of him.
