I FOUND IT!

It was The Defenders of the Earth that I'm remembering, mixed in with Shazam somehow. I have no idea why I'm remembering Shazam as part of that group at all, but I am.

All I know is that I loved this cartoon and watched it obsesively. I really liked the magician guy. I've been trying to remember this thing for years.

Well, yes, I saw that, but I don't know why I'm mixing the two. They didn't run at all near the same time, one in 81 and the other in 86.

I barely remeber this cartoon... don't recall watching it often or ever but I remeber it being on...

Lothar is Mandrake's super strong assitant dude. I have no idea where he comes from other than that.

Actually I think the show you were looking for was The Kid Super Power Hour (http://www.bcdb.com/bcdb/detailed.cgi?film=26999), which had Shazam and Mighty Isis, as well as Hero High.
