Richard Harris, the man who was playing Dumbledore, has died. They say he passed peacefully in his sleep. The link is to the BBC story.

To say "the man who was playing Dumbledore" puts his acting career mildly. A great actor that will be sorely missed. Some of his acting achievements:

Guns of Navarone
Mutiny on the Bounty
Major Dundee
Camelot
A Man Called Horse
Unforgiven
Gladiator
Harry Potter
Count of Monte Cristo

Just to name a few of some 60 or so movies.
