Yes, I know I'm updating a lot this morning. You can deal.

"DC Comics announced on Thursday that newly exclusive writer Judd Winick will move over from Green Lantern to Green Arrow, with Ben Raab taking over Green Lantern."

The new writers will be starting with Green Arrow #21. We'll be seeing a Green Lantern/Green Arrow crossover with the new writers. (Yeah. I see Ollie and Kyle getting along /so/ well.)

Hmmmmmm. The deal is only for a year, so... I'll see how this new writer goes. I'm feeling much more picky about my Green Arrow writers than I have about any comic book before.

Judd Winick's a good writer. He just got me reading Green Lantern. Figures that he'd be leaving for a book that I'm reading anyway. I have no idea how Raab'll do on GL.

I don't know how i feel baout him. I've liked some of his stuff and I've disliked some of it. I'll give it a shot.

So, what're your thoughts on this one?

hehehehe...

my thoughts on Winick are widely known... I fear we'll have to endure "Speedy and Me"...

it's too bad really because I think that current GA author has some good stuff going on... at least maybe GL will go back to being good...

Well, we'll see. I shall try not to fear too much.

if only they would get Mike Grell to return to Green Arrow... that would be my dream team...

When Ollie came back, he remembered the road trip he took with Green Lantern across the country (which was in the 60s I think, or maybe the 70s). It was apparently a pretty big deal (in the context of how comics were before things like Crisis). My friend David has some reprints of it, and I read about half of it

Yeah, but that was a different Green Lantern all together. That was Hal Jordan, if I remember correctly. And those two were great friends.

And Hal Jordan is the Spectre who brought Ollie back, right?

Thanks for the update, I'll start reading GA again to check out this writer. I started the Kevin Smith GA, but gave up after a few issues. I guess I'm just a die-hard Grell fan...
