A not-dissimilar study was done with Coke and Diet Coke as douches some years ago. It was found that Coke was a very effective spermicide - but not nearly as effective as Diet Coke.
I think changing vaginal pH is to be avoided, myself. This may be why I haven't had any yeast infections. *knock on wood*

Agreed. However, it is an interesting idea. I was a little more interested in the "kills HIV" part. The contraceptive part seemed a little obvious, though painful.
This technique has been advertised on bottles of Dr. Bronner's Soap for a long time. You might find this informative.

Pretty much the only thing amazing and new about the CNN story is the claim that lemon juice kills HIV itself. I would REALLY like to see this claim corroberated.
Couldn't the acidity fuck with condoms, and therefore let things besides sperm or HIV get to you? It seems as though there would only be very specific circumstances in which you would opt to use lemon juice.
I know that any sort of oil based lube does that, but I'm not sure what effect citric acid would have.
