I like it. I really like it.
Of course, having the politicians duel directly can apply to so many more situations than just this Iraq crap. How quickly would Vietnam have been over if there were "Seantor's sons" on the front lines, much less the Senators themselves?

I like the idea of turning into a Running Man sort of thing. Take the top officials from each side and put them into a maze sort of thing.
