So...

...

I don't even know how to start this.

I guess I'm kind of upset about how some people drift away. It's been a pattern in my life, one I've tried to stop. I'm not talking the casual drifting away that friends do now and then. That's cool. People get sick of other people from time to time.

I'm talking about when you try to talk to them but all conversation just seems to die. You can't seem to keep anything going between you. It's lame. It hurts. You wonder what happened and you wonder what you can do about it.

I guess sometimes people just change and while you're looking away you change and they change and when you look back... Everything is different. For some friendships, this isn't a problem. For others it's an end.

I'm .... I don't know. Just thinking, I guess.

Everything changes. That is the only thing that remains constant.

I know. It doesn't mean I have to like it.

Sometimes friendships die an honorable death. Sometimes they get murdered in a huge fiery scene of drama.

Sometimes, they die a piece at a time. Quietly.

Slowly.

Until you go back to check and find there's only a couple of crumbs left where there used to be a bounty.

And you're suddenly very hungry but nothing will grow.

Those times are the most stinging. You didn't even know it was happening until it was over.

That's where I'm at. It's lame. It's something that's happened to me many times over the years. Most of them were move related. When you move every 2-3 years, keeping friends is hard. You almost expect your friends to leave you after just a little bit of time.

It's made having friends for a long time very strange.

A nice, sensible offline chat.

Do you need to talk? I have two ears, both of them are ready to listen. You have my #, or we can make plans at the party..

Some people might drift away, but usually it leaves a space for new people to drift in.

Friend Tina reporting for duty!

Pardon me sounding like an over the top cheery anime girl. It's 5 am, my brain won't kick over for another two hours.

Thank you. I'm sure we'll get some time in this evening. I have a few someone's that I'm going to be having time with and that should help things a little. Some of those friends that don't go away when I go do something else for a little bit....

i know this feeling. it is when you realize you have talked about everything you possibly could with a person, and you have nothing left. you have out grown each other, and you have no idea when it happened.

you just stare blankly at each other, both so unsure of how to say "is this it?"

ouch. i am truely sorry, from the bottom of my broken before and still remembers that is sucks, heart.
