I've discovered that there are places that get into me, that dig into my blood and just hold on. I've discoverd that Venice was one of those places. I was flipping past the channels last night and I ended up watching this program about the building of the Venitian casino in Vegas, because of the exacting detail the owner took to make it look just like Venice.

There is something I need to study more. Anyway...

New Orleans is another place that I've visited and would love to go back and just stay there for so much longer than I feasibly ever could. The Daibutsu in Kamakura is another place where I could just go and stay for a long, long time.

While I love these places, there are so many more to visit.

Did I mention that I love Venice? :)

Also, the Venetian casino in Las Vegas just isn't quite Venice. I mean, granted, they have canals, but the water is clear. That seems so utterly wrong to me. :)

Well, yeah, but... there is only so much you can do.

I admit to missing Venice. Lots. I don't know if I'd ever want to live in any of these places, but I'd love to visit long term.
