Well, I'd been thinking about picking up Green Lantern for a look anyway...

blech...

I've been reading Green Lantern since issue one and I hate Judd Winick... his stories are crap and this has all of the markings of "A very special episode of Different Strokes" only without Dudley being ass-raped by the bicycle shop owner... (apparently before he got his job working at WKRP)

I really don't give a shit if this guy was on the Real World and his life was "touched" by his gay room mate... the man can't write his way out of a paper bag...

these sensationalist things always bug me, it's really preaching to the converted, anyone reading and praising this is going to be tolerent anyway, those out there practicing hate aren't going to read this and even if they did I hardly think what Winick passes off as a story is going to open anyone's eyes or change their point of view...

you should go buy the trades of the Steve Englehart run before you read the Winick issues...

It sucks then? I was thinking of giving it a try, sicne I've recently started liking Green Lantern a lot more. I'll look into the Englehart stuff and stick to my JLA for now.

I'm trying to decide what Spidey title to pick up.

sucks may be harsh, but compared to the stuff that came before... it really is a let down... because the character is cool in his own right and I've stuck with him for all these years I'll keep getting it, though I'm anxiously awaiting the day when a new writer takes over.

if I were you I'd spend my money on Hawkman... or JSA... those two books are excellent

*nods* Cool. I'm really enjoying JLA right now. It's good.

I'll look at JSA and Hawkman....
