Lord, with the sneezing and the coughing. Can it rain now? I would really like it to rain since that would help clear up some of this general sniffly sneezy junk that is happening to me right now. It feels like it has been waiting to rain for days and days. Yeah, I know there were sprinkles over the weekend but that isn't what I'm looking for.

I had a good weekend with good friends. Lots to think about, as per usual. It is good to have friends who make you think.

I find I am envious of people with a calling. I am even more so of people who have a calling who can make money with it. (Calling may or may not be the best word. I want something stronger than talent but less ordained than calling sounds.) It amuses me to think that in some sort of way station before birth everyone gets to spin this gigantic wheel of choices. "You... you will be good at hamster racing, yodelling and spinnging hay into gold. Good luck!" These are all wonderful talents, I'm sure, but what are the chances of discovering them, you know? (And, yes, I know a lot of these also involve hundreds and thousands of hours of work to hone.)

I find myself to be privledged to know some pretty freaking awesome people.

Awesome.

I love some good viral marketing.

There is a video game coming out very soon, which I'm looking forward to - Arkham Asylum.

Can I point you all here - http://www.gothamcitymunicipal.com/

This has a lot of the little details that make this sort of thing so much fun. The idea of a Gotham 2020 Olympics bid makes me grin. "Gotham City is now accepting architectural submissions for the restoration of the Clocktower."

And, of course, http://www.arkhamcare.com/. Heh. Heeeee. "Recent success with Harvey Dent..."
I just finished reading Maledicte by Lane Robbins (not Jane) and cannot recommend the book enough. It hooked me more strongly than I have been in awhile. I would have liked a little more details on the day to day aspects of the world but in the end it didn't stop my enjoyment of the book. I must download the second one for my Kindle now, which funnily enough has a quote from [livejournal.com profile] mizkit on the detail page. Someone reviewed it as romantic fantasy and I guess it is in much the same way that Romeo and Juliet might be - nothing is happy and there are swords and blood and vengence and death and crossdressing.

It is a lovely book.

Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair might actually make its way out onto DVD at some point. The rumor is, from Quentin himself, that there is a much longer anime O-Ren sequence.

Hugh Jackman says, shockingly, that they're begining to work on the Wolverine sequel. They're going to be in Japan! Oooooooo! Surprising, I know.

Hollywood Snitch reports that Edward James Olmos is going to be in The Green Hornet.

Lots of awesome people in this video.

Wow. I am so glad that these toys never made it out there. You think they have a problem with marketing Wonder Woman now? Those... I.... It makes my brain short circuit.
