I am allergy ridden.
Aug. 10th, 2009 09:23 amLord, with the sneezing and the coughing. Can it rain now? I would really like it to rain since that would help clear up some of this general sniffly sneezy junk that is happening to me right now. It feels like it has been waiting to rain for days and days. Yeah, I know there were sprinkles over the weekend but that isn't what I'm looking for.
I had a good weekend with good friends. Lots to think about, as per usual. It is good to have friends who make you think.
I find I am envious of people with a calling. I am even more so of people who have a calling who can make money with it. (Calling may or may not be the best word. I want something stronger than talent but less ordained than calling sounds.) It amuses me to think that in some sort of way station before birth everyone gets to spin this gigantic wheel of choices. "You... you will be good at hamster racing, yodelling and spinnging hay into gold. Good luck!" These are all wonderful talents, I'm sure, but what are the chances of discovering them, you know? (And, yes, I know a lot of these also involve hundreds and thousands of hours of work to hone.)
I find myself to be privledged to know some pretty freaking awesome people.
