So, I woke up this morning with part of the audio track from LadyHawke in my head. (Thus why I have it on in the background now. God Bless YouTube.) It was the part where the bad captain shoves Francesco (Navarre's friend) on his sword saying "Captain!" and then the sad action music starting, the bad captain then ensuring that he will totally die before the end of the movie. (What can I say? I have a great memory of auditory things. This is why it can drive me completely crazy when I hear a snippet of something and I can't place it.)

I'm not sure if my brain has a message for me in that but damn do I love this movie. I think my first crush on a fictional character was Etien of Navarre. When I was younger this movie was on HBO for a long, long time. Except that every time we tried to tape it off TV something went wrong. Once the cable went out, once the VCR machine died. Once the tape broke. Once we had a wind storm... I remember with great glee when we actually managed to do it.

So... My weekend. Here is a list.

- I unlocked all of the songs I could on Medium in Rock Band
- I caucused. Who knew that involved sitting around for hours and hours?
- I met Sean Astin. Please keep in mind, this is for very small amounts of the verb 'met'. In this case it means he walked past me and I got to shake his hand. Apparently he's some sort of Hilary Clinton surrogate. He goes around and does speeches for her at caucuses and other events of that sort. He, however, did say that if Obama gets the nomination, he'll be more than happy to be an Obama supporter.
- After Sean Astin spoke there was like another seventeen hours of sitting around DOING NOTHING at the Caucus. Dear Lord, how irritating.
- I watched The Crow, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Return of the King.
- I had a nice e-mail chat with Laura. I should do more of that.

$750 to fly into Hancock - Seattle to Portland to Minneapolis to Hancock.
$570 to fly to Marquette - Seattle to Chicago to Marquette.
$370 for Chicago
$330 for Minneapolis.

Really starting to look like flying in and driving 6 hours again because I'll likely be renting a car, any which way I go.

Anyone want to come with me?

Upper Michigan in August!

C'mon! It'll be lots of fun.

There is a gym in the building I work in.

I went in there today to look around.

The people were nice and friendly. There wasn't any pressure to make a sale. All of the official workouts are with a trainer. You can schedule workouts on-line. Anytime I felt like it, I could go down and grab some time on a cardio machine and they'll make recommendations about what would be best for you but get out of your way and let you do your thing. The temperature in there was cool but not cold, which was really nice. There are showers and changing rooms. The gym is focused on intense but short workouts to fit better into your day.

This sounds like a great place for me because:
- I hate the atmosphere in most gyms.
- I hate working out alone.
- I get very impatient very quickly if I don't see results.

Unfortunately, this gym is also crazy expensive. Having every workout be with a trainer is the reason for that and I can /probably/ afford it. (I'll really know that after my review this week.) I'm tempted but money is a huge deal here. Of course, as Josh said, if I knew it would work, I would pay a hell of a lot more than they're asking.

Hrm.
