Back to what people are reading and stuff!

Pushing Daisies has been given an order for 9 more episodes, bringing it to a full season!

Viva Laughlin was cancelled after two episodes. This makes me sad since I really wanted a signing dancing Hugh Jackman on my TV every week. *sad face* However, this means that they're moving the new season of The Amazing Race forward to start on the 4th of November. Yeah! Amazing Race!

The NZ Film and Video Technician's Guild has posted some very specific shooting dates for James Cameron's Avatar, Hugh Jackman's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and even an apparent Underworld 3. They also posted unconfirmed info for Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones. Any one in New Zealand? (And X-Men Origins: Wolverine... That's the tile? Really? Also, they're rushing to get the re-write finished on this one before strike time.)

Mark Millar wanted to write the Superman sequel. But because Millar is working for Marvel, the WB can't (won't?) hire him to write a DC property movie.

Were you unhappy with the first I Am Legend trailer? Try this one. As a friend of mine said, "Doctor Fresh Prince!". Cracks me up.

Ty Burrell will play Doc Samson in The Incredible Hulk.

Rupert Evans is rumored to be up for a role in the Justice League movie. (If the name isn't famiiar, he was John Meyers in Hellboy.) Rumor says Superman. Hmmmmm. There are a lot of things flying around this movie and I'm starting to get the feeling there is a lot of smoke and mirrors with what is and isn't getting out.

Morgan Freeman says that he's happy to play Lucius Fox again and his character figures more in the plot this time around.
So. I tried to go to sleep and I can't because this is beating around in my skull.

The longer I read comics, the more I realize that my tastes in them is getting more refined. I haven't read all of the comics there are to read but I'm also starting to realize that, for me at least, there is no era of comics that has more or less goodness in it. There is more and less goodness for MY TASTES but my tastes are not everyones. I'm sure there are people growing up reading this stuff and in 10-15 years they'll be cursing that things aren't the way they used to be, damn it.

Anyway. I'm also finding it ironic that the more I'm putting into comics these days (in time, emotions and money) the less I feel I'm getting back - though that isn't entirely true across the board. There are a few writers that I just seem to like and I'm happy to have found them but there is a reason there is a stack of comics sitting next to my couch that I haven't touched much at all.

So. I'm not going to touch Marvel things right now. I haven't been following along as closely.
