HBO has acquired the rights to turn George R.R. Martin's bestselling fantasy series "A Song of Fire and Ice" into a dramatic series to be written and executive produced by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Before you get too excited, I remind you that this is just optioned and that there are steps between optioning and actually becoming television. I refer you all here. And then I say, well, damn, HBO, you might just end up making me get your damned channel.
Gwyneth Paltrow will join Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard in Iron Man as Pepper Potts. (She's Tony's seceretary.)
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Terence Stamp are set to join Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway in Get Smart.
