Here is a real entry for once.

I've taken to jumping rope in the morning before leaving the house. This has caused me to realize that my left ankle is much more messed up than I has thought. I have to stretch it out a lot more than I would like and it clicks some. I'm not thrilled with this development.

Also, I'm going to, when I get paid, go shopping for shoes. I'm going to start walking to work in the morning. It's about two miles to work and I have no idea how long that will take me anymore. I used to know but those days are long gone. So.... I'll walk to work. I don't know about walking back yet. Me and hills don't get along so well.

Part of this is to make sure that I don't have the issues I've been having. I've been going to events which need me to be on my feet and to walk a /lot/ recently. And I've been sucking it up. I'm greatful to Sean for being patient with my slow and out of shape self at these events.

Speaking of which... Sean started talking to a girl who looked cool at the airport in San Diego and I joined in and we chatted. It turns out that she now works here. I could probably hit her with something I threw from here.... if I knew exactly where down there she sits. It's pretty cool. (As she said yesterday, "I say people all in black. I knew you were okay to talk to.) I'm going to have to ask her how she gets her hair white like she does. I'm guessing she's a blonde normally and wanted to do something different than go black but... I'll have to ask.

Lion's Gate is supporting Blu-Ray. That makes Sony, Disney, Fox, Paramount, Universal, Warner and Lion's Gate in the Blu-Ray camp.

DaimlerChrysler is among auto makers trying to persuade the U.S. govt. to spend $3-$5 billion on
a roadside wireless data network that would be open for use as a safety tool or for entertainment, diagnostic and other commercial purposes. They want to get cars to start talking to each other as well, thinking that eventually cars will be able to help avoid accidents this way.

If you've read this far, thank you! I'll have another post later about a few things, including an update on the Halloween party (and a call for addresses for invitations again) and what I'm planning on doing this weekend!
So, Raider's of the Lost Ark is playing at the Egyptian as the midnight movie.

I want to go on Friday.

Who wants to come with me? We can do like... dinner and a movie. I think picking up tickets early on this one seems like a good idea. I know I've broached the idea to a few people already but if anyone else wants to come, let me know.

Brother's Grimm is starting on the 26th. Does anyone want to go with me to see that?

Also, I have decided on the theme and location of the Halloween party this year.

Since there was minimal interest in the Dream Con idea, I will be holding the party at Sean's house. Sean said this would be okay and we can celebrate his and Kyna's new couch.

The theme this year will be Fairy Tales. Now, you can go anywhere in the range - Grimm to Disney to Jack and Jill. Yes. This means you can come as troll or and ogre, if you want. And as always, you don't at all have to be in theme. You don't have to even be in costume, but I am thinking about a contest or something this year since last year there were some really excellent costumes.

I'll put up a post later asking for addresses. HOLLY! We must collaborate! E-mail me!
Damn you Smallville. Now I'm going to have to watch. James Marsters... Aquaman and now... Carrie Fisher. *shakes her fist*

V for Vendetta has been pushed back to March.

To quote from AICN: "BEOWULF gets weirder and weirder. The cast is ecclectic, that's for sure... but now we have Robert Zemeckis directing a screenplay adaptation of BEOWULF scripted by Roger Avary and Neil Gaiman and starring Crispin Glover, Ray Winstone and Angelina Jolie. Curiouser and curiouser. It's also announced now that the film will be co-produced by Paramount and Warner Bros." Weird.

The man who plays Jin from Lost is voice acting for JLU this coming season. He couldn't remember the character's name but he was excited because he wasn't Asian.

Speaking of Lost, they're almost finished filming the second episode of season two and I have a lot of other tidbit info on the season. There is a great run down on Ain't it Cool. Just a note... Don't expect to really get to know what is beneath the hatch in the first episode. Or the second. Man. It's a month until thsi show starts up again.

And I need to go pick up the new Fables. Lots. No new comics for me for awhile, though.
