Amusing...

Aug. 31st, 2004 07:34 am
Last night I had an idea in character. My character in this game has pretty much stopped talking when people aren't speaking directly to her because she's always talked over and so she's stopped saying things. (It's an aspect of the game that is great. I'm not complaining about it. It works well for all of the other character because they're teenagers, for the most part. Catherine is just really different from the rest of them.) The GM had me roll to see if I had a brilliant idea, which I got a critical success on. It was the same idea I'd just had. OOCly I explained to him that I'd had that idea but wasn't saying anything because of the aforementioned effect. It amuses me greatly that it took three more attempts to be heard before people were listening.

I like Catherine. I really do. It's just interesting to sit back and listen to what everyone says and not to participate too much. It is really quite different for me and while it is amazingly frustrating ICly, it's amusing OOCly.

Other than that... I slept... okay. Looking forward to my trip. A little nervous but.. I always get that way before trips. I'll be fine once I get to the airport and start having to take care of things. I'm great in situations where there is something (anything) to do. When all I can do is sit and wait? That's when I'm likely to completely flip out.

Eeeeeee.
The Batman from Batman Beyond and Static will both be guest-starring in "The Once and Future Thing, Pt. 2," the season finale of Justice League Unlimited. Tom Everett Scott is providing the voice for Booster Gold in the Sept. 11 episode of Cartoon Network's Justice League Unlimited, "The Greatest Story Never Told."

USA Today talked to Quentin Tarantino about the success of Hero in theaters. Tarrantino says he wants to bring full length Kill Bill out on DVD.

From Variety: "Dakota Fanning, one of the busiest young actresses on this planet, will star with Tom Cruise in the Steven Spielberg-directed The War of the Worlds for Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures."

David Goyer is under contract to write two more DC comic book scripts. He dealt with Blade and Batman Begins. No word as to which properties he'll be writing.

Everyone's probably already heard about the Clerks sequel.

Not too much else right at this moment. Not that I'm seeingat least.
