Wheeee.

This week is going to be completely crazy. So.... I don't know if you will hear from me as much this week or not. Lots of training, lots of temps, lots of... busy.

For the funniest thing I have seen in a long time... It's Troy in 15 minutes. Much like the Very Secret Diaries. Extreme spoilers.

As for Troy itself, I went in knowing it wasn't going ot be the Illiad. Had I been hoping for a straight to screen from the text movie, I would have been very, very dissapointed. Instead what I got was a decent representation of the characters I was looking for, even if they changed a lot of the story around it. I would be willing to watch Sean Bean as Odysseus in a movie of his own. That would be great. There were about ten minutes that I want out of the film entirely since they don't fit in my mind at all. The fights were gorgeous and unlike anything I've seen in a long time. Achilles moved... differently. It was fluid, liquid, elegant and yet entirely brutal.

All in all, I suggest you go see it. It is very pretty, even if they did take all of the male frontal nudity shots out to get the R rating. (Damn them. Damn them all....)
So.. around the rumor mill...

Apparently Brian Synger wants to film X-men 3 and 4 back to back. They've already started contacted metal shops in the Vancouver area among other things. This is potentially for a whole bunch of reasons. Hugh Jackman doesn't want to be doing Wolverine forever and... well.. If they're going towards Dark Pheonix, you wouldn't want to do the first part and then wait four years for the rebirth stuff. You'd want to get all of you Phoenix-y stuff done at the same time.

Here is a link to the rejected Troy score. Much, much better than what they used, I think. (It's under news.)

There are rumors flying around that Governator is already making film bookings for 2006 and he's not going to run for re-election. Who knows. Right now it is just rumors.

Eddie Izzard is in Ocean's Twelve. As if the movie wasn't cool enough already.

Sony Pictures Classics today announced the acquisition of the North American rights to Zhang Yimou's House of Flying Daggers. The epic action romance adventure is the latest from film master Zhang Yimou, the director of such films as the Academy-Award nominated Raise the Red Lantern, The Road Home, and the Academy-Award nominated Hero. It stars Zhang Ziyi.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3 will also be filmed at the same time. Apparently Jonny Depp also got his wish - Keith Richards will be Capt. Jack Sparrow's dad.

There are some heavy, heavy spoilers for Spidey 2 here and implications reaching towards Spidey 3.

Hellboy2. You better be ready for it. It's coming.

Here is a post on how the Hitchhiker's Guide movie is going thus far.

Joss Wheadon says Angel won't end on a cliffhanger, but then again he said that the ending of Buffy season 5 wasn't a cliffhanger, either. So... Take that as you will.
