Friday after work was... Well, I was riding home on the bus, reading my book. In the middle of a sentence, a word eve, I felt like someone was pulling my hair, cupping the back of my head. I look up in time to see a man hit by a car in the intersection we were approaching. Pine (or Pike) and Bellevue. That was disturbing. He was taken to the hospital, but it didn't look good. The car came out of no where and all of the other traffic had been mostly stopped. It was all around strange.

So, I stayed home on Friday, feeling a little odd, a little detatched. People shouldn't move that way.

Saturday, I went up to Bellingham. Played the superhero game some, but really just sat around and talked and hung out. Didn't get much done game-wise and that was okay. I realize now that I was going through a slight affirmation of life feeling all day long. It was a good group of people to hang out with.

Sunday, I woke up and stayed in bed for awhile. I felt a slight shaking, which I wasn't sure was my imagination or maybe just me moving or whatever. I found out this moring that we had an earthquake, though a small one. It makes sense now. Called up my Dad and we chatted for awhile. Best conversation I've had with him in quite some time. None of our conversations have ever been bad, but there has been strain to them until recently. He's a volunteer firefighter. He's in a group that lobbies for environmental causes. He plays beach volleyball and softball. He's my dad. I miss him. Went to D&D and had a good time. Wheeeee. Wish Marci could have been there, but I entirely understand. We'll have much fun next time.

Neat!

This is my little bit of the Mandelbrot set.
I got it from the mandelbit generator.
You can get one there too.

Wow...

I can take the 5th of July off without having to spend vacation time.

I'm in awe.

And I had a reaction to something today I wasn't expecting. I have changed quite a bit. Hmmmmm.
I'm looking for a gym.

Does anyone have any recommendations for one in the downtwon-ish area? I really don't want to have to travel too far out of my way. There are plenty I get discounts with and the like, but I wanted to see if tehre was anything anyone was happy with before I started checking things out myself.
Huh.

I remember a few years ago hearing something about them accidentally stumbling onto the beginings of this when they were working on a superfast information transferral method.

Looks like the guys in Australia have the beginings of a handle on it.

*giggles*

You know, I like this...

Oh.

This ... I think... will be pretty. *shudders*

"In his next movie, The Last Samurai, he will star as a 19th century American mercenary in Japan. He has been training with Nick Powell, the film's stunt coordinator, who taught Russell Crowe how to use a sword for Gladiator. Cruise is ambidextrous, and he is already able to wield two weapons at once."
