So. I am going to California from the 10th to the 13th of July. A little mini-vacation or something. Do not expect me to be present. Do not expect me to... well, do anything except be in the San Jose area. *does a little dance* Eee!

I haven't been to California in years. A very long time. Even longer if I don't count changing planes. Disneyland is a vague blur of memories....

Eye doctor today. Must call and make other appointments today, no matter how much I might not want to at all. It is rather imperative.

Game with Gavin tonight. HMmmmm. I liked Sluggy today.

Work time, I think.
I like Nickleback. I like the song that they singer helped with for Spiderman, "Hero".

I honestly think this the best superhero song ever made. (I'm not counting productions for scores. The Superman theme by John Williams gets that, hands down, though it is followed by the Batman score closely.)

"Now that the world isn't ending
It's love that I'm sending to you
It isn't the love of a hero
And that's why I fear it won't do."

It's perfect for Spiderman. I am so impressed by this song. It's simple, but evocative. It's cliched, but I don't notice because of how the cliche is treated. It helps me remember why I love Spiderman and why I always did. That and the quips. He always had a good line, and not those typical ones either. Like the one in the movie about mommy and daddy needing to talk now. That was great.

Anyway. Enough of that for now.
Wheee.

So, I called for an appointment. My options were this evening at 6:00 or the 21st. I took this evening at 6. Wheee. I love getting poked and prodded at. Stupid, stupid... Augh. Hate it.

This means, I will most likely be late to game this evening. Getting from the U-district to Sean's place by bus will be... Ummmm. Entertaining. If anyone has any ideas how to make this better in anyway, lemme know.

Bleh.
I want to leave now. Arg. An hour and a half. Grrr.

On a brighter note, I've made out like a bandit with free books today.

Heh.

America's Riches Towns It says so much to me about my mother to find the place she grew up as the fourth city down on that list.

Wow. We ran mock hijacking drills today with the Canadians. A plane from Whidbey Island to Vancouver and a plane from Utah to Alaska. We went through several scenarios, including a "shoot it down" scenario.

Well, it's good to know we're planning and having trial runs.
