529 plans..

So, I went to the presentation on 529 plans. It's a way to save for college. I can save for myself or for my non-existant children or for nieces and nephews if I really feel like it.

The money that goes in here is after taxes, but all of the accumulation is tax free and will never be taxed as long as it is used for college expenses.

Anyone can put money in for who ever I'm saving for. (Me.) So, when it comes towards Christmas and my birthday, I might well be asking for you guys to put money in there if you want, as opposed to giving me other things. Believe me, it is a present.

This is nice.

Talk to a brokerage, financial planner or whoever you're working for. I'm through Putman Investments. They have a website. Ask them about a 529 plan. It is like a 401k, but less restrictions and for a different purpose.

I was planning on taking the bus. It's the same bus that goes to Kris'. You ride for like 10 more minutes and you're there.
