He's very good. I recommend starting with Tailchaser's song and then going to the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn trilogy and then to the Otherland quartet. (It's all of his work up to now in order of publication.)
It's great to see how his writing style grows. It's also fascinating that he can keep me interested in battle scenes and planning. Most authors lose me there.
