A thought...
Apr. 16th, 2001 07:59 amDrama is an interesting thing. Everyone seeks to avoid it yet, in the view of others around us sometimes we apparantly cause it to others. It's an eye of the beholder sort of thing, I think.
For me, drama is something you're purposely doing to get attention. Sometimes you react to something and that's just how you react to it. Later you might think of a different way to react to something but at the time, that's just your reaction. Some people manuver things like that for attetnion, but generally I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt.
Hmmmm.... So, the little bits of pseudo-drama I saw this weekend weren't even really that. People react to things in different ways. Everyone has different coping mechanims.
Just some thoughts...

Pssht. That wasn't drama.
Date: 2001-04-16 08:52 am (UTC)No one brought a "travel woojie" bag and cast runes on mirrors and all reflective surfaces so they didn't get "attacked" by evil con-goers.
No one threatened to kill me, one of my friends, or themselves. No one got into a big blow-up fight. No one almost drank themselves to death.
Some people bitched. When don't they?
This was definately a low drama con.
