Oh please. Dear God. Let it not be true. Please.

That would be the most horrendous movie ever made. I don't care who was int it or directed it or anything. I... I just can't. Augh.

Nothing will ever equal the low point set by the D&D movie.

Unless one of its two planned sequels manages to do so.

They're actually making sequels.

It was originally planned as part one of three. Since the film apparently turned a profit (Amazing what those Europeans are willing to sit through), I'm told that the sequels are still planned.

Believe me. I'm disturbed by this, as well.

Dude. Lots of people went to see it once. It could not have cost that much to make.

I don't know ... them brown dragons with goldish tint and reddish tint are 'spensive to animate.

So was the brain-dead Beholder! And the quicksand carpet!

And do you REALLY think that the Elven Breastplate was cheap? Okay. Maybe that one was.

Dude. The movie was cheap. Imagine all of the gamers in the country (or all the countries it showed in) going to see it once. They probably would have made money on that alone, even if no one else went to see it.

This could be worse. It could. My mind cringes in fear from the concept.

D&D was one of the few movies I couldn't finish. So horrible.

If they took the very basic core concept, stripped it down to the frame, and got some damn competent scriptwriters to rebuild it from scratch, it might possibly not suck.

Odds are that it's going to suck very hard and very badly.

They made Dungeons & Dragons. They made Josie and the Pussycats. They made On Golden Pond.

They will make this.

Click on this. Admittedly, it hasn't been revised in a while, but both Pratchett and Gaiman have talked about the film elsewhere, and they are both very interested in getting it out.

This is a bit more recent, and less happy-sounding. (Also why the comparison was fresh in my mind.)

Actually, last I heard about it, on Neil Gaiman's journal and elsewhere, they were in pre-production. Admittedly, that could mena just about anything, but he was optimistic about it bieng with in the next two years.

I don't know... if it was done in the same vein as say the Brady Bunch movie... it could be funny...
