I was looking around on the Planned Parenthood of Western Washington site. (I needed to find a phone number so I could make an appointment.) In the fall they are going to have a patch for birth control. Put it on once a week and you're set, live the nicotine patches.
Sign me up. I am so there. I don't want to get the shots because not having a period at all, I think, would kind of freak me out (and has in the past due to birth control), but this sounds like a good deal.

Date: 2002-06-03 12:01 pm (UTC)I want the patch, too!! I hate the pill as my hours are so sporadic that I can't ever seem to find one good time to take them. A patch would be fantastic. Let me know if you find out more about it!!

Date: 2002-06-03 04:33 pm (UTC)From what I've seen of the male shots they aren't a terribly attractive alternative. (The one time I saw a show with someone taking one the guy hobbled around 2 days after each shot to the leg. *wince*)
I think it'd be nice to alleviate the burden of contraception for women.

Date: 2002-06-03 04:51 pm (UTC)I haven't heard much at all in recent times. People seem to be happy to saddle the problem on women for the most part. >=T
