The US might not be a soccer country (which I'd argue) but Seattle has quickly become a soccer town.

I watched the match on ESPN3 online. The only bar celebration they showed was at the Atlantic Crossing on Roosevelt, right here in Seattle. It was awesome.

Looking at World Cup attendance averages against Sounders game attendance averages... Well, the World Cup wins but not by as much as you'd think.

I think an argument could easily be made that Seattle was already a soccer city. Most of my friends were soccer friends before Sounders FC.

I think there was the potential for it to explode like it has because of their hard work, totally. There was always a lot of European club love.
