It is the annual 'is my favorite show renewed time' again.

CSI fans: Marg Helgenberger says that she hasn't been asked back yet. ‘CSI: Miami‘ is going to get a bit of tweaking since it is now occasionally losing its time slot to ABC’s surging ‘Castle.' 'CSI: NY' is not going well against 'Criminal Minds' and likely isn't going to be cancelled but will probably be moved in the schedule.

Word going around is that 'Chuck' is going to get a 4th season. I love this show. The 3rd season has been something of a mess but it is a mess of the reorienting and reorganizing sort so they can stride forth again. One way or the other, Christopher Lloyd is on this week!

Oddly enough Heroes is ALSO still in contnention for renewal.

NBC is going to launch a comedy called 'Outsourced' based in India. Considering I'm heading to India in about two weeks, this is funny to me already. They've also picked up 'The Event' which is another global conspiracy show and 'Love Bites' which ... sounds a little more interesting for set up if not content. It is an hour-long romantic comedy anthology series featuring three loosely connected, modern stories of love, sex, marriage and dating. Sounds like we'll have something of a rotating cast.

To change topics: The upcoming Batman: Creature Of The Night is Kurt Busiek’s thematic sequel to Superman: Secret Identity for DC Comics.

There is a Planet of the Apes prequel remake coming. My brain is not fully on and I cannot remember what it was called. Rise of the Apes or something like that.

And now! More coffee.

Ah, that's what Busiek has been talking about. Not what I was hoping for per se, but it might be cool.

I don't know, but not that. I'll be curious to see how he can rationalize Batman into a more real world setting if that's the idea just because Batman works in part because there isn't a Batman comic book in their reality.

Maybe they could play it like the first few issues of the Dial H for HERO revival where someone gets the dial, becomes a hero, tries to fight crime...

...and discovers that there aren't bank robbers in gaudy costumes or even purse snatchers in his town and he doesn't want to beat up prostitutes and drug dealers...

While you're in India, could you see if you can find my job? It was outsourced to Hyderabad. :}

I won't be in Hyderabad, alas, though we do have operations there.
