Getting ready for Emerald City

One week!

Eeeeeeee!

I'm so excited and a little bit gobsmacked. I'm going to be sitting across from Leonard Nimoy for two days and we're going to be doing pictures with Stan Lee as well, which is a hell of a thing for a number of reasons. It'll be complete insanity on Saturday, I have a feeling - more so than last year. And, of course, I've volunteered to be more involved in the craziness next year, so we'll see how that goes.

On that note, I'm going to be bringing snacks and drinks because I don't know if I'll be able to get away from the table to go hunting lunch. The go bag I'm preparing looks like this so far:
water
bananas
granola
something caffinated
highlighters
spare envelopes
pens
notebook

Any other suggestions?

Something with protein in it. It's a lot easier to work for a long time on protein than it is on sugar or carbs.

By the way? The CLIF Builder Bars pack 20g of protein and actually taste pretty good. You could consider carrots and celery with peanut butter too.
