Really...? We have nothing bettter....?
Mar. 3rd, 2010 11:00 amSo, there is word of making (re-making?) Giligan's Island into a movie. All updated for today's audience of course. We have no need for a new Giligan's Island. None at all. I think Lost really fills the bill on that well enough.
Puppies are awesome and so is this ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUCRZzhbHH0 The fact that we can fastforward through them now, maybe it means they realize they need to be better? There are a number of really good ones right now.
So, Conan will be played by Jason Momoa and Conan's dad will be Mickey Rourke. So. It seems that the villain of the movie will be played by Stephen Lang. You don't know him, you say? Of course you do, I say. He played Col. Crazypants in Avatar.
There is word of ... *sighs* A Space Invaders movie. Because video game movies have come so far. Really. We.... *rubs her forehead* Gah.
So, there are a lot of people out there grumpy about the choice for the White Lantern. I wonder how many of them are caught up in the idea that who ever is in the white needs to be a hero. The color doesn't indicate anything about morality, nor should it seem to do so. Black is death, not evil. In this case people are fighting against it because THEY DON'T WANT TO DIE. I won't talk about it more than that for spoilers but I'd be more than happy to chat in the comments.
NOLA.com is reporting that test shooting has started for director Green Lantern today in Madisonville, which is on the other side of Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans.

And maybe Michael Cera or Jay Baruchel as Gilligan.
Kelly Bishop as Lovey Howell. :)

Seriously though. As much of a Buffy fan as I am? I would never MLIBTVS myself. If there was such a thing. And Buffy was, like, way more easy to relate to than Twilight will ever be. Honestly though...I feel REALLY bad that the next generation of girls is going to grow up thinking its okay to wait for a man to come save them and protect them and take care of them. It really takes society back to like the '50's and stuff, and a little later, like Wonder Woman married that monster dude all those years ago, and when he leaves her, her main concern is getting him back by way of good cooking, because clearly, there's nothing more important than that in life.
....
Okay, mini-rant over.
