litheraMy phone is broken. I can't call out and it seems calling it goes pretty much straight to voice mail. I'll be calling AT&T to be grumpy with them some time today but I'm letting all of you fine folks know that this method of getting ahold of me will work even more poorly than it usually does.
Also, I am now a lower second soprano in The Seattle Women's Chorus. I don't do this change thing halfway, do I? I cannot tell you how much I'm looking forward to this: https://www.flyinghouse.org/swc/gabg/
Now, to see how much time that will take and to get back to the dojo. I admit that one would be easier to do if someone were to go with me. It is easier to be brave when I have someone else there. I don't know why. I think it has to do with being an older sister.
I'm reading a book on Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel which is very interesting on a number of levels. There is an amazing amount of skill in what he did and even more in the layers of meaning that were packed into these paintings. It makes it even more imperative for me to make it to Rome and to view these things.
I'm looking forward to reading more of the Malazan books. I want to get caught up to talk about all of this stuff with people.
I feel bad for the books team today. It's gotta suck to be over there right now.
I have a feeling Book of Eli is going to be one of those movies that I own to show other people so that I can talk to them about it. There is a great paladin, wandering swordsman thing going there but the pacing almost gets in the way of the whole thing. There are a few things I would have changed, especially with Solara's character arc.
And... ummmmmm.... That's it for now.
