So, I have no problem with a whole new creative direction for Spider-Man movies. That's cool, I don't mind reboots.

What I do mind is that they're going to tell Spider-Man's origin story.

Again.

Is there anyone out there who is interested in seeing a Spider-Man movie who doesn't know how he got his powers? Couldn't we just skip that whole field trip part of the telling and jump into something else? I sort of feel that some of these characters are well enough know that (especially so close to the last time we told it) we could jump right into a story.

Maybe I'm just unreasonably grumpy.

Um, I don't know what new thing they can do with that origin story. Dude gets bit by a spider, right? A radioactive spider.

Are they going to make it like a series of radioactive spider bites? Like how in order to make a vampire you had to be bit three times?

Or maybe it's a GIANT spider. Living under the University. And he's spelunking.

OR maybe it's a GIANT spider FROM SPAAACE!!!

I'm all for a giant spider from space.

Then again, I'm a big Starro fan. Especially when there are cupcakes involved.

I'd say, guest starring Madame Web but, hey, I'm in a dream land anyway.

Does the reboot mean that it is now a Marvel Pictures deal and Samuel L Jackson, Agent of SHIELD, could turn up in it? Parker and Fury's chemistry was one of my favorite parts of Ultimate Spider-Man

It's even supposedly doing the high school thing. Can we have a year where Peter Parker ISN'T reverted to eighteen again?
