I am sore and still not sleeping as well as I'd like but, hey, there is progress. Most of the boxes that were in the living room are now in my bedroom. Well, okay, not all of them, but it certainly feels like it.

DirectTV is dumb. I will not be getting it. We will be stuck with Comcast. Ah well. I can use my HD Tivo with Comcast, so nyah.

Setting up internet with Qwest is a bizarre experience.

Paul and Storm and JoCo are coming back at the end of February. They'll be at The Moore. Anyone interested in going? I think I'm gonna get tickets for me and Kris. The show is a lot of fun if you've never been.

I've watched a lot of my DVDs in the last few days. A few comments: Shortround would have to be in my top five sidekicks ever. He's awesome. The Last Starfighter is still cheesy fun but it needs some fine tuning. Oddly, I started figuring out how I would tweak it yesterday. It also pointed out that I pretty much hate every translator device in any sci-fi ever (that I've been able to think of) since they don't seem to be internally consistent.

It seems completely bizarre to me that tonight is New Year's Eve. It just doesn't even seem realistic. 2009 wasn't the worst year I've had but it also has not been the best. It started out with me going to CES and getting horribly dreadfully sick while there. So, to repackage that - an awesome up combined with a horrible down which evened out to feeling a little awful. That's kind of how the year has been and I'm really looking forward to something else. I'm ALSO looking forward to seeing people. I feel like I've been in some alternate universe for an indeterminantly LONG period of time.

The people at the office got me a housewarming card. Very sweet of them.

Sherlock Homes = Win
Avatar = Pretty but full of annoyances for me

It seems we will not only have room for more bookshelves than I thought, but we will, in fact, likely /need/ one more in the living room. Too many graphic novels for the one we designated for the task and it is a weeeeeee bit wobbily for that weight. I forsee bookshelf shopping in my future. I also need a CD wallet. Yes, yes.

I'm sure there is a lot more but I need to get some more stuff done today.

You're a Paul and Storm fan? I went to college with Paul Sabourin - and sang in the same a cappella group he did before he did DaVinci's Notebook (the group that begat Paul and Storm)

I am! They're a lot of fun. I was a JoCo fan and they open for him like... all the time, so I got to liking them as well. That's really cool.

Not at all, m'dear. I will get new ones if I need them. Heh. I'd rather get something that I know fits the needs we have once we know what we need.
