A good review of Stumptown but I link it more for the discussion in the comments about women in comics and mroe specifically lesbians in comics.

I find it interesting that everyone thinks Dex is queer. I suppose that's the expectation I've created when I write female characters these days. Wondering what the reaction to issue 2 will be like.

Very interesting. I don't think I took her one way or the other, specifically, but thought that was certainly a possibility. A lot of people seem to be reading it that way but it seemed a bit early to say. The conversation below the article was one of the most interesting and non-confrontational I'd seen on the subject, which I enjoyed reading very much.

On another note, I hope your travels have been fruitful and enjoyable. Kris ([profile] pullethestars) sends her greetings and well wishes to you and yours as well.

I admit I'm growing annoyed at people like "Torpor," etc. This is why I don't read reviews. We'll see what the response is to issue 2.

Thank you sir for that, and I hope that your son's toe heals up quickly!

(hooray for late replies - it's what I get for not reading comments.)

Well, I can read them for you and save you the aggravation. I understand how you feel but I've been a lot of places where that level of commentary was the highest level of conversation. It was pleasing to see something a little more than that from most of the people.
